France is my absurd home.

It dawned on me why I haven't had anything interesting to say in my blog lately. France has turned into my home, and who writes in their blog about their home? It's very hard to take a step back from that comfort that has developed between me and Marianne and see the absurdity that is living one's life in France. For instance, I didn't go to class Tuesday or Wednesday because I'm sick. Found out yesterday that it didn't really matter, the professors decided to strike and most to Wednesday's classes were cancelled. Tuesday morning, I discussed the state of my lungs with a doctor in French. This weekend I'm making bilingual Valentine's Day cards for the old people I hang out with at the retirement home. Next week hopefully I'll have class, but who knows? Nothing is ever set in stone in France.
