Internet!
We finally have internet at my house! It took two months, but we did it! It's very popular in France to buy a "box" which offers cable, DSL internet, and a international telephone, and it's only 30 euros a month. Because my house is so old we had a lot of trouble getting all the lines working, but once we finally did, our "box" arrived, and we're connected to the world again! November, I love you. You have brought me internet, cold enough weather than I can wear my jacket finally, a trip to Madrid (oh yeah, six of us are going to Madrid for Thanksgiving weekend to see Emili), and French is finally getting somewhat normal after being here for two months. And I've finally sort of made a French friend! The only reason she wants to be friends with me is because she thinks I'm a cool "emo" kid like on MTV, but I'm okay with that. I wore my Vans to class today and she wouldn't stop gushing about them and how she wishes she could find a pair because apparently they're hard to buy in France and how she loves my tattoos because no one in France has tattoos and tattoos are so emo. It took me a long time to figure out what she was saying because she pronounces it "EHHHmo" and in the U.S. it's pronounced "EEEEmoh." At first I thought she was saying," Eh no," like I was doing something wrong.
Otherwise, things are really good. Really really good.
